Plus Finally Offers Betas

One of the biggest gripes by the PlayStation Plus “community” has been the lack of betas. Upon the initial introduction of the Plus service, Plus subscribers were led to believe that they would get plenty of exclusive beta offerings.

Over the first three months, the betas did not show up, and Sony backtracked a little on the wording of what they intended. Apparently only selected Plus users would have an opportunity to land some of those beta experiences. Bellyaching ensued.

Sony has responded by working with Ubisoft to allow all Plus subscribers access to the Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood beta. Let the rejoicing sound from coast to coast. In a further attempt to appease Plus subscribers, later this month 5000 lucky Plus subscribers will land a Killzone 3 early access beta. Happy days.

I didn’t bother to read the user agreement to see if I could post on the Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood beta, so I will refrain from offering up some opinions right now. I will say that I have never played an Assassin’s Creed game, which obviously means this is not the typical type of game I will pick up. I do love the fact that I have access to the beta. New experiences are always a Plus.
