Stafford, Moreno, and A.J. Green down Sun Devils.

Good. That one is behind the Dawgs. No more talk about how Arizona St. is good enough to trip up our beloved Georgia Bulldogs. It is hard to imagine to Georgia falling yet again in the polls after Georgia delivered a nice 27-10 good ol’ fashioned woodshed blistering.

Knowshon Moreno (vs. Arizona St. Sep 21, 2008)

Flying through the air with the greatest of easy …

Georgia still has some work to do before they play host to Alabama this weekend, however, the box score tells the story of the game:

  • Georgia won the turnover battle 0 – 1.
  • Georgia won the time of possession battle 34:18 – 25:42.
  • Georgia was efficient on 3rd down, converting 6 of 13 opportunities. Arizona St. converted a paltry 2 of 11 attempts, and was 0 for 1 on 4th down.
  • Arizona St. only managed 4 yards on the ground.
  • Stafford was 16-28, 285 yards, 1 TD.
  • Moreno had 23 carries for 149 yards, and 2 TDs.
  • A.J. Green had 8 receptions for 159 yards, and 1 TD.

Penalties continue to be a concern, as Georgia gave up 104 yards on 12 flags, although there were 2-3 BS calls. Georgia has to be more disciplined or the penalties will come back to haunt them at an inopportune time.

Go Dawgs!
