The Western Bulldogs are also in the same position.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajc.com\/sports\/uga\/will-trip-to-starkville-620302.html\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.ajc.com\/sports\/uga\/will-trip-to-starkville-620302.html', 'History says that Georgia will win');\" target=\"_blank\">History says that Georgia will win<\/a>, but the line is even, so the Dawgs could fall to 1-3 (0-3 SEC), which, to put on my Captain Obvious hat, would be entirely unexpected.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Georgia hasn\u2019t lost any of the four games it has played in Starkville, Miss., since 1951, nor any of the nine games it has played against Mississippi State anywhere since 1974.<\/p>\n<p>All of which should be pretty comforting for a win-starved team \u2014 except that Georgia hadn\u2019t lost at South Carolina in 10 years before losing there two weeks ago and hadn\u2019t lost to Arkansas in 17 years before doing so last week and hadn\u2019t lost to Kentucky in Sanford Stadium in 32 years before doing so late last season.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Last week against the dreaded Hogs from Arkansas, I probably did not expect a victory, which was why I was not disappointed when the Dawgs looked like a bunch of sick puppies.  After their comeback to draw even, and eventual loss, I was bitterly disappointed.  This team lacks something; and I am not just referring to the absence of A.J. Green.<\/p>\n<p>Inexperience at the QB position certainly does not help, but the Dawgs should have enough athletes to overcome a new QB.  Maybe South Carolina will win the East, Arkansas the West, and Georgia will go on a torrid pace winning nine in a row.
