It is bad enough that for a majority of Americans, health care is unaffordable, however it is worse that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2010\/03\/17\/health-premiums-rise-obamas-plan\/\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2010\/03\/17\/health-premiums-rise-obamas-plan\/', 'President Obama\u2019s agenda');\" target=\"_blank\">President Obama\u2019s agenda<\/a> is being pushed on unsuspecting Americans.  If you are in a position where you can afford health care, great; beware that your premiums are about to go up, which is counter to what the President is saying.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Premiums are likely to keep going up even if the health care bill passes, experts say. If cost controls work as advertised, annual increases would level off with time. But don\u2019t look for a rollback.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no question premiums are still going to keep going up,\u201d said Larry Levitt of the Kaiser Family Foundation, a research clearinghouse on the health care system. \u201cThere are pieces of reform that will hopefully keep them from going up as fast. But it would be miraculous if premiums actually went down relative to where they are today.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Making matters worse are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2010\/03\/16\/pelosi-plan-pass-health-care-traditional-vote-riles-critics\/\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2010\/03\/16\/pelosi-plan-pass-health-care-traditional-vote-riles-critics\/', 'Speaker Nancy Pelosi\u2019s hell-bent tactics');\" target=\"_blank\">Speaker Nancy Pelosi\u2019s hell-bent tactics<\/a> of trying to force the legislation through the House.  This is absurd to the point of being ridiculous and disgraceful.<\/p>\n<p>Something this important needs to be clearly thought out, with compromises along the way.  President and the Congress need to work on baby steps; eat the elephant one spoonful at a time.  President and the Congress should work towards a series of small packages, taken together as a whole to reform health care.
