{"id":1096,"date":"2007-12-31T10:28:00","date_gmt":"2007-12-31T14:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2007\/12\/31\/2007-bowl-predictions-day-10\/"},"modified":"2007-12-31T10:28:00","modified_gmt":"2007-12-31T14:28:00","slug":"2007-bowl-predictions-day-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2007\/12\/31\/2007-bowl-predictions-day-10\/","title":{"rendered":"2007 Bowl Predictions (Day 10)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Day 10 of the 2007 Bowl season brings us the most active day yet.\u00a0 Football aplenty for your viewing pleasure.<\/p>\n<p>First up today is the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl featuring California (6-6, 3-6 Pac-10) vs. Air Force (9-3, 6-2 MWC).\u00a0 I normally would not pick against the Pac-10 against a Mountain West Conference team, but this is the Falcons\u2019 first Bowl game in forever, and I just do not see a team going 3-6 in conference play getting motivated to get up for this one.\u00a0 Falcons over the Bears.<\/p>\n<p>The Sun Bowl gives us #21 South Florida (9-3, 4-3 Big East) vs. Oregon (8-4, 5-4 Pac-10).\u00a0 If Dixon did not have a bum knee, the Ducks would be the clear favorite.\u00a0 Then again, if Dixon was playing, Oregon would be in a BCS bowl.\u00a0 South Florida is the pick.<\/p>\n<p>Oh boy, what would another Bowl season be without Roady\u2019s Humanitarian Bowl?\u00a0 Seriously, I know every kid in American dreams about being in the Humanitarian Bowl.\u00a0 In Boise, ID.\u00a0 In the freaking cold of December.\u00a0 I digress.<\/p>\n<p>The game features Georgia Tech (7-5, 4-4 ACC) vs. Fresno St (8-4, 6-2 WAC).\u00a0 I came close to picking the WAC team in this one, but did not.\u00a0 I do not think the bumble bees are excited about being in Boise on New Year\u2019s Eve, but they still have some pride.\u00a0 Right?\u00a0 Tech over Fresno State.<\/p>\n<p>The Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl pits Kentucky (7-5, 3-5 SEC) against Florida St (7-5, 4-4 ACC).\u00a0 Even without all the suspended Seminoles, I expected the Andre Woodson led Wildcats to take down another average Florida State team.<\/p>\n<p>The Insight Bowl is another NFL Network game that I started not to pick since I cannot watch the game.\u00a0 Indiana (7-5, 3-5 Big Ten) vs. Oklahoma St (6-6, 4-4 Big 12).\u00a0 I still do not think the Big 10 is very good; not that I think the Big 12 is that much better.\u00a0 The last time I went with the Big 12 over the Big 10, it cost me one in the lost column, so maybe I will never learn.\u00a0 The Cowboys over Hoosiers.<\/p>\n<p>Saving the best game for last, the Chick-Fil-A Bowl features two top ranked, but under achieving teams.\u00a0 #15 Clemson (9-3, 5-3 ACC) vs. #23 Auburn (8-4, 5-3 SEC).\u00a0 Clemson is the favorite, but no way do the ACC Tigers take down the SEC Tigers.<\/p>\n<p>2007 Bowl predictions:\u00a0 12 \u2013 3.<\/p>\n<div class=\"addtoany_share_save_container addtoany_content_bottom\"><div class=\"a2a_kit a2a_kit_size_ addtoany_list a2a_target\" id=\"wpa2a_1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share', '');\" class=\"a2a_dd addtoany_share_save\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/share_save_171_16.png\" width=\"171\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Share\"\/><\/a>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\nif(wpa2a)wpa2a.script_load();\n\/\/--><\/script>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Day 10 of the 2007 Bowl season brings us the most active day yet.\u00a0 Football aplenty for your viewing pleasure.
