{"id":946,"date":"2007-06-21T14:34:55","date_gmt":"2007-06-21T18:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2007\/06\/21\/day-4-still-on-the-bench\/"},"modified":"2007-06-21T14:34:55","modified_gmt":"2007-06-21T18:34:55","slug":"day-4-still-on-the-bench","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2007\/06\/21\/day-4-still-on-the-bench\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 4 (still on the bench)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Day 4 has arrived, and things are pretty much the same \u2013 I still feel like crap and I am still popping pain pills.\u00a0 I called the doctor\u2019s office this morning to ask if my symptoms were normal; to be honest, I really do not know what to expect with this type of surgery.\u00a0 The nurse laughed when I told her that I wanted to go into the office today.\u00a0 She said that is not going to happen for several more days; not sure how to break that news to my boss.\u00a0 Oh well, moving on to some points to ponder.<\/p>\n<p>Non UGA fans will not understand the enormity of the situation with Larry Munson, but apparently his health is so bad that he is considering not announcing Dawgs games this fall.\u00a0 At the very least, he may only announce for home games.\u00a0 That would be a travesty.\u00a0 The man has called Georgia games for longer than I have been alive, but I guess all good things must eventually end.\u00a0 Of course, I wish Mr. Munson nothing but the best!<\/p>\n<p>I ranted a little about EA Sports\u2019 NASCAR 08 yesterday, and I am about to go off on their Madden and NCAA Football games.\u00a0 I do not have a TV in the bedroom, which is where I have been camped out this week.\u00a0 This means that I do not have a whole lot else to do besides read, play the occasional PSP game, listen to ESPN radio, and sleep.\u00a0 In other words I have plenty of time to snoop on the upcoming NCAA Football and Madden releases.\u00a0 From what I can tell, Madden is not going to have major improvements over last year\u2019s PS3\/360 versions, and NCAA Football looks to be nothing more than a graphics upgrade over the previous PS2 release.<\/p>\n<p>I know these yearly releases are too much of a cash cow for EA to not offer a new version each year.\u00a0 At some point I assume gamers stop buying Madden each year;
