Apparently not, as <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.espn.go.com\/nfl\/news\/story?id=2908160\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/sports.espn.go.com\/nfl\/news\/story?id=2908160', 'ESPN.com');\" target=\"new\">ESPN.com<\/a> reports on LaVar Arrington\u2019s recent motorcycle crash:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFormer Redskins and Giants linebacker LaVar Arrington was hospitalized with serious but not life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle crashed on a highway ramp Monday, police said.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Someone will probably post some statistics that show more people die in automobile crashes compared to motorcycle crashes, but that is beside the point.  I would assume there are more cars on the road by a large margin.  I would also assume that you are more likely to survive an accident if you are in an automobile; air bags, four sides of a car surrounding you, etc.<\/p>\n<p>The article pointed out the Arrington was wearing a helmet (I guess that is worth something) and alcohol was not involved, which is another plus.
