If you are a baseball fan, you owe it to yourself to make the site part of your daily surfing.<\/p>\n<p>John Brattain recently wrote an interesting article titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hardballtimes.com\/main\/article\/whom-would-you-choose\/\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.hardballtimes.com\/main\/article\/whom-would-you-choose\/', 'Whom would You Choose?');\" target=\"new\">Whom would You Choose?<\/a> where Mr. Brattain debates \u201cSuppose you had a Hall of Fame ballot with one spot left and you had to choose between Schilling and Smoltz: Whom would you choose?\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Before I started this column, I would\u2019ve voted for Curt Schilling. My mind is changed. If I have one vote to cast between the two at this point, I vote for John Smoltz.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is a fascinating article, but there are a couple of decent follow-ups.<\/p>\n<p>The first is via a blog (<a href=\"http:\/\/thepastime.net\/2007\/02\/17\/schilling-vs-smoltz\/\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/thepastime.net\/2007\/02\/17\/schilling-vs-smoltz\/', 'The Pastime');\" style=\"border-bottom-style: groove\" target=\"new\">The Pastime<\/a>) where the author makes a compelling case for Schilling.<\/p>\n<p>The second is a subsequent article by Mr. Brattain titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hardballtimes.com\/main\/article\/you-said-it\/\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.hardballtimes.com\/main\/article\/you-said-it\/', '\u201cYou Said It\u201d');\" target=\"new\">\u201cYou Said It\u201d<\/a> where Mr. Brattain quotes (and answers) a serious of well-written emails to his first article, mostly in support of Schilling.<\/p>\n<p>All three articles are a great way to start your work week.  BTW, I am biased towards Smoltz.
