maybe scrap all three games and give us TCU vs. BYU, which would have been a lot more appealing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On to today\u2019s games.\u00a0 First up is the papajohns.com Bowl featuring South Florida vs. East Carolina.\u00a0 To be honest I do not know a lot about either school, but how can I go for purple pirates?\u00a0 Besides, South Florida is probably the second best team in their state, so USF is the pick.<\/p>\n<p>Next up, we are blessed with the New Mexico Bowl featuring New Mexico (at 6-6 they really deserve this invitation) vs. San Jose State.\u00a0 I am going to go with New Mexico, only because I have to make a pick, and playing at home has to be worth something.\u00a0 But seriously, why even both scheduling this bowl game?<\/p>\n<p>Finally we have the Armed Forces Bowl, which features Tulsa vs. Utah.\u00a0 I guess this one could be interesting, if both offenses get their game on, but once again you have to ask why play this game?\u00a0 I am sure it is important to the schools and their respective fans, but what is the point?\u00a0 I would rather watch tonight\u2019s NFL match-up then this garbage, but alas, I do not have the NFL Network.\u00a0 Tulsa is the pick.<\/p>\n<p>I am 2-1 with my picks, so do not bet the farm or anything.\u00a0 Besides, with match-ups like these, it is more about flipping a coin then scientific prognostication.<\/p>\n<div class=\"addtoany_share_save_container addtoany_content_bottom\"><div class=\"a2a_kit a2a_kit_size_ addtoany_list a2a_target\" id=\"wpa2a_1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share', '');\" class=\"a2a_dd addtoany_share_save\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/share_save_171_16.png\" width=\"171\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Share\"\/><\/a>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\nif(wpa2a)wpa2a.script_load();\n\/\/--><\/script>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another day brings us three more bowls filled with mediocrity, and uninspiring match ups.\u00a0 The first three bowls this year have proved not so much fun for college football fans.\u00a0 I think we could have all done with out these match-ups;
