{"id":736,"date":"2006-11-24T13:22:39","date_gmt":"2006-11-24T17:22:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2006\/11\/24\/sec-preview-week-13\/"},"modified":"2006-11-24T13:22:39","modified_gmt":"2006-11-24T17:22:39","slug":"sec-preview-week-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2006\/11\/24\/sec-preview-week-13\/","title":{"rendered":"SEC Preview (Week 13)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After taking an accidental week off, I am back to show off my lack of prognostication skills.\u00a0 Something like that.\u00a0 Interesting slate of rivalry games this week, headlined by the LSU\/Arkansas game this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><b>(9) LSU \u2013 (5) Arkansas<\/b><br \/>\nI keep reading that LSU is the best two loss team in the country, and I keep thinking that Arkansas is not the real deal.\u00a0 This game should prove that Arkansas is a solid contender as they win the Golden Boot thingy.<\/p>\n<p><b>(4) Florida \u2013 Florida State<\/b><br \/>\nFlorida State will not \u2018save\u2019 their season.\u00a0 Gators will win big in this mismatch of FL schools.<\/p>\n<p><b>Kentucky \u2013 (19) Tennessee<\/b><br \/>\nIf this game was in the Bluegrass State, I would call for a surprising upset, but that is not going to happen in Rocky Top.<\/p>\n<p><b>South Carolina \u2013 (24) Clemson<\/b><br \/>\nAlways a good one; hope we get it locally this year.\u00a0 I have to go SEC in this one; Gamecocks in a minor upset over Clemson.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mississippi State \u2013 Mississippi<\/b><br \/>\nI think they play for an egg or some such.\u00a0 Not sure if either team is good enough to win an egg, but I have to pick someone, so how about the Bulldogs of Mississippi.<\/p>\n<p><b>(16) Georgia Tech \u2013 Georgia<\/b><br \/>\nWhich Georgia team is going to show up?\u00a0 If the team that whipped Auburn takes the field, Georgia will win.\u00a0 If not, oh boy, look for a major embarrassment.\u00a0 I cannot stand the bumblebees, but I guess they have to beat us sooner or later.\u00a0 I am going to go homer, and say that Georgia in a hard fought upset.<\/p>\n<p>Texas just kicked off vs. A&M.\u00a0 Hopefully the Horns bounce back and wrap up a spot in the Big 12 Championship game.\u00a0 Hook \u2019em!<\/p>\n<p>Go Dawgs!<\/p>\n<div class=\"addtoany_share_save_container addtoany_content_bottom\"><div class=\"a2a_kit a2a_kit_size_ addtoany_list a2a_target\" id=\"wpa2a_1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share', '');\" class=\"a2a_dd addtoany_share_save\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/share_save_171_16.png\" width=\"171\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Share\"\/><\/a>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\nif(wpa2a)wpa2a.script_load();\n\/\/--><\/script>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After taking an accidental week off, I am back to show off my lack of prognostication skills.\u00a0 Something like that.\u00a0 Interesting slate of rivalry games this week, headlined by the LSU\/Arkansas game this afternoon.
