{"id":721,"date":"2006-11-11T11:30:43","date_gmt":"2006-11-11T15:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2006\/11\/11\/sec-preview-week-11\/"},"modified":"2006-11-11T11:30:43","modified_gmt":"2006-11-11T15:30:43","slug":"sec-preview-week-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2006\/11\/11\/sec-preview-week-11\/","title":{"rendered":"SEC Preview (Week 11)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week was bad on a lot of fronts.\u00a0 First, there was the crap performance by my beloved Dawgs.\u00a0 Second, I was a horrible 3-4, which was my first losing week on the season.\u00a0 Totals sit at 61-15 going into Week 11.<\/p>\n<p><b>Vanderbilt \u2013 Kentucky<\/b><br \/>\nThis is actually an interesting game of SEC has-beens.\u00a0 Vanderbilt is really playing batter each week, but their record (4-6, 1-5 SEC) does not reflect their hard work.\u00a0 Of course their crown jewel win over Georgia does not look so hot.\u00a0 Same for Kentucky, but they appear to have turned the preverbal corner (5-4, 3-3 SEC), needing this win today to qualify for a bowl appearance.\u00a0 I think the Commodores are the better team, but I am going to pull for the Wildcats in this one.<\/p>\n<p><b>South Carolina \u2013 (6) Florida<\/b><br \/>\nThis one means more to Spurrier than Florida, but I doubt that the Gamecocks have enough for the Gators.\u00a0 A close one, hard fought and all that, but this one goes to Florida.<\/p>\n<p><b>Alabama \u2013 (12) LSU<\/b><br \/>\nThe Tide earned the SEC Shame of the Week Award last week with their horrible loss to Mississippi State.\u00a0 Yes, it really was worse than Georgia going down to the Wildcats.\u00a0 LSU had a great win over Tennessee, and I do not expect even a hit of a let down.\u00a0 The Tigers will completely spank the elephants, which is going to make Shula even more miserable.<\/p>\n<p><b>(13) Tennessee \u2013 (11) Arkansas<\/b><br \/>\nIs Arkansas the real deal?\u00a0 Tonight we will find out, and while I never pull for Arkansas, I think I will pick them for the victory tonight.<\/p>\n<p><b>Georgia \u2013 (3) Auburn<\/b><br \/>\nAny chance for an upset?\u00a0 It has happened before, but I do not expect it to happen today.\u00a0 I just hope Georgia can have a somewhat expectable showing.\u00a0 Sigh \u2026 lets just get the season over with already, lick our wounds, and get ready for next year.\u00a0 What the hell; always the homer, Georgia pulls off a shocker by somehow getting a running game established, and only turning over the ball once, resulting in a 23-22 win.<\/p>\n<p>Go Dawgs!<\/p>\n<div class=\"addtoany_share_save_container addtoany_content_bottom\"><div class=\"a2a_kit a2a_kit_size_ addtoany_list a2a_target\" id=\"wpa2a_1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share', '');\" class=\"a2a_dd addtoany_share_save\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/share_save_171_16.png\" width=\"171\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Share\"\/><\/a>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\nif(wpa2a)wpa2a.script_load();\n\/\/--><\/script>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week was bad on a lot of fronts.\u00a0 First, there was the crap performance by my beloved Dawgs.\u00a0 Second, I was a horrible 3-4, which was my first losing week on the season.\u00a0 Totals sit at 61-15 going into Week 11.
