{"id":688,"date":"2006-09-16T11:05:27","date_gmt":"2006-09-16T15:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2006\/09\/16\/sec-preview-week-3\/"},"modified":"2006-09-16T11:05:27","modified_gmt":"2006-09-16T15:05:27","slug":"sec-preview-week-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2006\/09\/16\/sec-preview-week-3\/","title":{"rendered":"SEC Preview (Week 3)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is the day that the Lord has made, and what a glorious day for some SEC football action!\u00a0 LSU\/Auburn and Florida\/Tennessee are in the mix followed by a bunch of crap games, starting with, in order of suckyness:<\/p>\n<p><b>Wofford \u2013 South Carolina<\/b><br \/>\nThe \u2018Ol Ball Coach is going to be majorly pissed, and the fighting chicken fans need something to cheer for after another depression loss to the mighty Dawgs.<\/p>\n<p><b>Louisiana-Monroe \u2013 Alabama<\/b><br \/>\nBama will Roll, Roll, Roll, but their defense better be stout because much like last year, there is not an offensive presence on this team.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mississippi \u2013 Kentucky<\/b><br \/>\nLets be honest, this is a battle to see which team sucks the most.\u00a0 I have been wrong on every single game Ole Miss game so far, so why stop now.\u00a0 Somehow the Wildcats manage to score a few more points than the Rebels.<\/p>\n<p><b>Arkansas \u2013 Vanderbilt<\/b><br \/>\nI hate pulling for the Hogs, I really do, but they better have more talent than the Commodores, or there is going to be hell to pay for Nutt.\u00a0 So I pick the Razorbacks under duress.<\/p>\n<p><b>UAB \u2013 (10) Georgia<\/b><br \/>\nThe Stafford era begins here, and everyone is going to leave Sanford Stadium happy campers.\u00a0 I know that UAB can sneak up on some teams (cough \u2026 Oklahoma \u2026 cough), and a few years ago they kicked the LSU tigers in their collective tails, but it is not going to happen this day.\u00a0 Dawgs will win by 13, something along the lines of 31-17.<\/p>\n<p><b>(7) Florida \u2013 (13) Tennessee<\/b><br \/>\nWhile this one is right behind LSU\/Auburn, lets not kid ourselves.\u00a0 How much do the Volunteers suck?\u00a0 They should have lost to Air Force last week, but chalk up some Rocky Top magic that allowed them to escape with a weak victory.\u00a0 I am a card carrying member of the Gator haters club, but I think this one is going to be an easy Florida victory.<\/p>\n<p><b>(6) LSU \u2013 (3) Auburn<\/b><br \/>\nThis one is the headliner of the weekend, and I think this one has the Tigers from the Plains all over it.\u00a0 This one is going to be a tight defensive affair, but AU will come from behind, and win by three.<\/p>\n<p><b>Other Games of Note<\/b><br \/>\nTwo other national games of note are on the weekend menu of football goodness.\u00a0 (11) Michigan vs. (2) Notre Dame and (8) Texas vs. Rice.\u00a0 I am not a Wolverine fan, but I cannot stand the Irish, so I am going to be pulling hard for Michigan.\u00a0 I just do not think Notre Dame is a Top 5 team this year, but I suppose this is a chance for them to prove me wrong.\u00a0 I am expecting something like 31-30, Notre Dame, but I hope victory belongs to Michigan.\u00a0 Texas will put up 56 on Rice, in what amounts to a wound-licking game after the Buckeye debacle.<\/p>\n<p>Go Dawgs!<\/p>\n<div class=\"addtoany_share_save_container addtoany_content_bottom\"><div class=\"a2a_kit a2a_kit_size_ addtoany_list a2a_target\" id=\"wpa2a_1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share', '');\" class=\"a2a_dd addtoany_share_save\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/share_save_171_16.png\" width=\"171\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Share\"\/><\/a>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\nif(wpa2a)wpa2a.script_load();\n\/\/--><\/script>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is the day that the Lord has made, and what a glorious day for some SEC football action!\u00a0 LSU\/Auburn and Florida\/Tennessee are in the mix followed by a bunch of crap games, starting with, in order of suckyness: Wofford \u2013 South Carolina The \u2018Ol Ball Coach is going to be majorly pissed, and the &hellip;
