While I hold no grudges towards GameStop (or EBGames) I never appreciated purchasing a \u201cnew\u201d game from their mall stores only to discover that the \u201cnew\u201d game had in fact been previously played.  One only needs to perform a google search to see that I am in good company.<\/p>\n<p>I strongly suspect that the new PlayStation Rewards program will either change PS3 owner\u2019s purchasing patterns (i.e. no longer purchase \u201cnew\u201d games from GameStop) or stop GameStop from allow employees to play new games, return them to the packaging, and sell them as \u201cnew\u201d games.<\/p>\n<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/us.playstation.com\/psr\/index.htm?type=faqlink\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/us.playstation.com\/psr\/index.htm?type=faqlink', 'PS3 Rewards FAQ');\" target=\"_blank\">PS3 Rewards FAQ<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>How do I advance my standing faster?<br \/>\nAt launch the program rewards playing new Blu-ray games, and activity in Home & on the PlayStation\u00aeStore such as buying movies, shows, games or other content.
