{"id":3221,"date":"2010-11-23T06:57:47","date_gmt":"2010-11-23T11:57:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/?p=3221"},"modified":"2010-11-23T06:57:47","modified_gmt":"2010-11-23T11:57:47","slug":"platinum-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.calvertgames.com\/cgblog\/2010\/11\/23\/platinum-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Platinum Club"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night I earned my first PS3 Platinum trophy for completing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metacritic.com\/game\/playstation-3\/afrika\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.metacritic.com\/game\/playstation-3\/afrika', 'Afrika');\" target=\"_blank\">Afrika<\/a>.  I know some would argue that it is not a \u201cgame\u201d in the traditional sense, and I think I would have to agree.  Instead it is more of a relaxing after work, late at night, whenever you want to de-stress experience.<\/p>\n<p>Getting to 100% was pretty much a pain in the ass; lots of repetitive type missions, but as I said, it was a stress free pain in the ass experience, which is OK in my book.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll go on the record and say that I had to \u201ccheat\u201d a couple of times to find some of the animals.  Cheating in Afrika means reading a guide to find the general location of specific animals required to complete the game.  You have to take a picture of a dung beetle.  Seriously.<\/p>\n<p>So now I am one of the cool kids, with my cool Platinum trophy.
